What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a type of online giving that harnesses the power of the community through many smaller gifts as opposed to singular major gifts.

What is Embry-Riddle Crowdfunding?

Embry-Riddle Crowdfunding is a platform for the university community to raise funds for strategic student projects and initiatives. It's also a great way to keep track of how your gift is making a real difference for Embry-Riddle students.

Where does the money given on this page go?

All of the money goes straight to the student project you donate to, and every gift makes an impact!

Who can I contact with questions?

Is my contribution tax-deductible?

Yes! All gifts received are donations to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and are tax-deductible. Donors will receive a tax receipt following gift processing.

When will my credit card be charged?

Your credit card is charged immediately upon finalizing your gift on the site.

Where is my donation going?

Your entire donation goes directly to the selected project. There are no deductions of processing or overhead fees.

What if my project doesn’t meet its funding goal?

If the campaign falls short of its funding goal, the funds raised will still be released to the project sponsor. In the event that a project cannot be undertaken because of the shortfall, the money raised will be retained by the sponsoring college or unit for use on a project with similar goals.

What happens if a project is overfunded? 

If a campaign raises more than its stated funding goal, the surplus will still be released to the project sponsor to expand or enhance the project or to place in reserve for use by similar projects in the future.
