Creating a privately sponsored match or challenge is a feature we're pleased to offer our donors. Below are some FAQs for this feature.

This gamification, challenge piece is a helpful component which allows you to help drive increased peer-to-peer giving by encouraging your friends and fellow alumni to support our student-athletes. To help you successfully create a match, please reference the guide below! 

Start by selecting "Offer a Match" or "Offer a Challenge" from the giving menu in the upper right part of the screen.

To offer a match, add how much you are willing to give to your sport of choice.

By checking this box, you commit to pay the full amount promised, even if the match is not completely met.


You may structure the match by dollars or donors. We suggest selecting the "per" dollar box and doing a $1 per $1 donated match, in order to maximize your support!

You can set up matches in a number of way. We suggest selecting the "Donors with a specific designation and/or affiliation" box, then be sure to add the designation of your favorite sports team so that all matched funds go to that team. For example, matching gifts to the Athletics Fund for Excellence at either Prescott or Daytona Beach.

You may also challenge your friends to a match by selecting "a group of friends" and including their emails.

The last thing is to be sure that you select the same designation below as you did above in order to make sure that your portion of the match (what you are contributing) goes to the fund of your choosing!

Issuing a challenge is very similar. The only difference is that a challenge unlocks funds after a specific goal is met. For example, "I will give another $250, if the campaign gets another 15 donors"
