Fuel the Space Flight Team's Rocket Launch to Space

Embry-Riddle students build a model rocket

Our Mission

We are the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Eagle Space Flight Team at the Prescott Campus, and our goals are literally out of this world. We intend to successfully launch a student-designed/built rocket past the internationally recognized boundary of space (100 km/328,084 feet) and recover it intact, upon its return to Earth.

If we accomplish our goal, we would be the first university in the world to achieve this as an undergraduate student-led team of future engineers, business professionals, pilots, and space physicists.

But more important than the record, we'll also get real-world, hands-on experience with a complex project, which means that when we graduate, we'll be ready to launch our careers. That’s the real value. And, as a bonus, we get to feed our passion for rocketry and advance science at the same time!

Why We Need Your Help

We need rocket fuel! We've done the small rocket-engine stuff (check out what we've accomplished so far at any of our social media links below), but now we are ramping up to build our biggest engine yet — an engine capable of 20,000 pounds of thrust for 15 seconds.

That will take lots of fuel. That's where you come in.

With your help, we can take the next step toward our goal of launching a rocket into space. Each and every donation will bring us that much closer to the stars!

About Us

The Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Eagle Space Flight Team is located at the Embry-Riddle Prescott Campus — a hotbed for rocketry. The team consists of more than 60 rocket-passionate students and two primary faculty advisers. That’s a lot of engineering brainpower in one place, but that's what it is going to take to achieve our mission!
