Fundamental

The fundamental purpose of the Sigma Chi Fraternity is the cultivation, maintenance, and accomplishment of the ideals of Friendship, Justice, and Learning within our membership.

$100

The Standard

The standard with which the Fraternity started was declared by Isaac M. Jordan to be that of admitting no one into membership in Sigma Chi who is not believed to be: A man of good character... A student of fair ability... With ambitious purposes... A congenial disposition... Possessed of good morals... Having a high sense of honor and A deep sense of personal responsibility

$163

Spirit of Sigma Chi

Though 163 years old, the founders of Sigma Chi conceived that the Spirit of Sigma Chi is founded on the belief that: ...Friendship among members, sharing a common belief in an ideal,... ...and possessing different temperaments, talents, and convictions,.... ...is superior to friendship among members having the same temperaments, talents, and convictions, and that... ...Genuine friendship can be maintained without surrendering the principle of individuality or sacrificing one's personal judgement. While rich in tradition, 150+ years later, Sigma Chi has always had a focus on developing its members among a diverse group.

$200.50

Founder

The establishment of the Kappa Phi chapter of Sigma Chi was in the Spring of 2005.

$600

Life Loyal

When an undergraduate member of the fraternity graduates, he may enter membership as a Life Loyal. Along with the perks of continued networking, it also gives the graduates aid in their professional lives.

$1,855

Grand Chapter

The Grand Chapter of Sigma Chi is the main legislative body of the fraternity established in Chicago, Illinois. Sigma Chi, one of the oldest fraternities in North America, was established in 1855.

$2,500

Eternal

When a brother of the Sigma Chi fraternity passes away, he passes from "our circle to the Chapter Eternal". Family members may allow the fraternity members to perform the White Rose ceremony in honor of the deceased. In honor of one Embry-Riddle's Honorary Alumni, a fellow Sigma Chi brother, and a man held in high esteem by the Prescott community, white roses were laid next to the late John Olsen during the visitation of his funeral.
