We are back!

June 27, 2016

We were very happy to be home for the finish of the race. We were able to see our respective families, and thank our support team on the ground. Last night (Sunday 26th) was the awards banquet. Several awards were given, including best stop, most congenial team, leg awards for the fastest teams for each given leg, and finally the top 10 for the entire race.

We are very proud to say that Team Bernoulli ranked #3 overall, behind two collegiate teams (the first one being an Embry-Riddle Daytona team, congratulations to them!).

We want to thank our donors and everybody who supported us during the race, we had a great time, learned a lot, met some great women (and some men as well...) and we are already planning for next year!

Blue skies and tailwinds!

Big departure

June 13, 2016

The big day has arrived! Team Bernoulli will be leaving on Tuesday June 14th bright and early at 6am. On their trip to Prescott, they will fly through most of the airports on the route for the race, allowing them to have a good look at the timing lines.

Their emergency and first aid kits weight more than the clothes they are packing, safety first! N5492R got a final health check before leaving, to make sure she can fly the team for the next 50 or so hours. The plan is to stay in Waco, TX on Tuesday evening, and Santa Fe, NM on Wednesday evening, where Virginie will reconnect with some friends. Then off to Prescott on Thursday.

You have helped the team raise $1555 beyond the donations from their sponsors, and rest assured that this money will go a long way.

They will try to update you just before the race, and then after the race. In the meantime, follow them:

Coming to an end

June 03, 2016

Hi all,

So we only have one day left before our campaign ends. We have received just over 50% of our final goal. Thank you to all who donated, you are making a big difference.

On our end, we are getting a lot closer to the race. We are meeting with Debbie Schaum and her class on Monday (they will be our weather team and will follow us closely during the race). We will go over final planning for the trip.

We are planning on leaving Florida on June 14th and to arrive in Prescott on June 16th. Our plane needs to be impounded for inspection on June 17th, we'll have several meetings to attend, and the big departure will be on June 21st. Follow us during the race by visiting the page:

Shoot us an email or come welcome us at the finish line!

N5492R is officially Classic Racer 6

May 12, 2016

N5492R officially became Classic Racer 6 this week as Team Bernoulli affixed the numbers on her cowling. She also received a full wash to get ready for the handicap flight, flown by pilot Naiara Petralanda on Wednesday. The handicap flight is as important as the race itself, as it sets the speed that the team needs to beat during the trip. The flight will be examined by the ARC handicap team, and the value of the handicap will be known before the team sets off to Prescott. The team is almost at the halfway point of their fundraising (both time-wise and goal-wise). They have a facebook page: so visit the page, like them, and share it with friends and family!

Choose a giving level

Buck Mountain, AZ

We just took off from Prescott, and only flew for 54nm. There’s still a long way to go, but at least we know where we are going, as we are now able to buy 3 of our charts for the race route.

Dry Lake, AZ

We are still in Arizona and haven’t made it to our first stop yet, but we know we won’t go hungry today, as your donation covers food for one day.

Los Lunas, NM

We finally made it to our first stop! We are excited to make it here, and should we choose to Remain Over Night (RON), we can now afford our hotel.

New Mexico / Texas Border

We have just made it to our 3rd state in the race, and you have just helped us buy the fuel to get there.

Arkadelphia, AR

This is our 4th stop on the route, and we are almost at the halfway point. By contributing at this level, you ensure that we can perform our pre-race maintenance check.

Daytona Beach, FL

This is the terminus of the race, and luckily for us this year, this is also home! This level pays for one of our registration fees, and we thank you for helping us fly in the Air Race Classic 2016.
