Rita Campos "Heart of an Eagle" Scholarship
Rita Campos worked for Embry-Riddle Dining Services at the Daytona Beach campus for more than 20 years. She fell in love with Embry-Riddle Athletics and became one of the program’s biggest fans. She befriended coaches, student-athletes and administrators, soon becoming a fan favorite. In addition to inspiring a game day T-shirt, Rita's likeness was made into a Halloween costume and she even had her own cheering section at the games – Rita’s Rowdies!
Our goal is to establish a scholarship in honor of Rita to continue her legacy among current and future generations of Embry-Riddle student-athletes. If we can raise $10,000 toward this scholarship, the University will name the ERAU Soccer Stadium concession stand as The Rita Campos Concession Stand!
"Rita and I have a very special bond. We have shared so many wonderful memories together. From our adventures in New York City to walking the entire Vegas strip and countless away game bus rides. She is the sweetest and most loving person I know. Any day spent with her is full of fun and laughter. I'm beyond thankful and blessed to have Rita in my life. I'm sure everyone would agree that she has made a positive impact in each of our lives. I love you Rita Pita!"
