In his 35 years as the head men's basketball coach at Embry-Riddle, Steve Ridder and his wife, Vicky, have impacted the lives of countless student-athletes. Some of those student-athletes have honored them by establishing the Ridder Transformational Program.
The idea for the Ridder Transformational Program came from Embry-Riddle men's basketball alumni Owen Busch, Austin Brownlee and Ryan Rothrock. The trio spearheaded a campaign to honor the Ridders' legacy with donations to the program, which focuses on Ridder's "Student-Person-Player" philosophy and aims to develop life and leadership skills for the university's 400-plus student-athletes to succeed after graduation.
Aimed at preparing current and future student-athletes for "Life After Sport," the program will support participants throughout their Embry-Riddle careers by providing professional, mental, and physical development training in the following core areas: Career/Professional Development, Personal Development, Leadership Development, Financial Education and Community Engagement.
Please consider making a gift to support student-athletes preparing for "Life After Sport."
