The AeroCare capstone team's objective is to build an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) that is used to deliver medical supplies. Medical emergencies can occur suddenly, with little to no warning. For individuals living in the city, the process of receiving necessary life-saving care and medical supplies is streamlined. However, due to road transportation limits, individuals living in remote areas struggle to get the care they need. This project will cut costs and time to deliver medical supplies to remote areas. This will allow for more frequent deliveries while also increasing the accessibility of these supplies to those in need. The issue of limited accessibility to critical medical supplies can be resolved by developing an unmanned medical delivery aircraft capable of traveling 100 miles in an hour or less.
The AeroCare capstone team asks for your help with funding the following:
1. An engine and propeller for the propulsion team.
2. Carbon fiber/kevlar composites for the structures team so that UAV can withstand flight requirements.
3. Servos and other electrical components to achieve autonomous flight for avionics.
4. Materials used for building airframe for aerodynamics.
5. If applicable, AeroCare has considered competing in Redbull's Flugtag competition. To test the aircraft, AeroCare may need to go out of state due to the lack of licenses for this extent of flight in Arizona.
