Gifts to Prescott Upward Bound contribute to...

The Upward Bound program at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott provides first-generation and low-income high school students with the academic support, college preparation and leadership development needed to succeed in higher education. Through tutoring, mentoring, summer courses and college visits, we empower students to achieve their full potential. Donations directly support scholarships, educational resources and enriching experiences that help break down barriers to higher education, making a lasting impact on students' futures.
The Upward Bound program asks for your help fundraising for the following:
1. College Visits & Cultural Enrichment Trips: Upward Bound aims to raise funds to provide students with opportunities to visit colleges, both in-state and out-of-state, allowing them to explore their options and make informed decisions about their future. These trips also include cultural enrichment experiences that broaden students' perspectives and aspirations.
2. STEM & Leadership Development Programs: Upward Bound students benefit from hands-on STEM workshops, leadership conferences and career exploration events. Donations help provide access to cutting-edge technology, guest speakers and interactive experiences that prepare students for success in college and beyond.
3. College Scholarships: Many Upward Bound students come from low-income backgrounds and are the first in their families to attend college. We aim to raise funds to provide scholarships that help cover tuition, books and other essential expenses, making higher education more accessible and reducing financial barriers to student success.
